Introduction

Welcome to the Rushden Mission “40 Days of Community” Blog. Over the next 40 days we’re going to be exploring the theme “What on earth are WE here for?” The whole church, from the youngest to the oldest, will be in this together. We’re very excited about what God is going to do in and through this time of study as we learn what it is to be community in our church and to see how we can serve the community around our church.

This is where we’re going to be sharing our stories, experiences and thoughts and we pray that these will bless and encourage you too.

God bless

Sunday 10th Feb Service

Today saw the first Sunday Service within the 40 Days of Community. We looked at why we need each other and let's face it we do! The Bible says, "Since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others." Rom. 12:5b (NLT).

We heard a great analogy - "one snow flake is fragile, but lots of them can bring traffic to a stand still!" We need others to Walk, Work, Warn, Wait & Weep and Witness with us.

The talky bit was recorded today. So if you weren't able to make it to the church, or was involved in other church activities, or simply you want to hear it again, please visit the main church audio page Rushden Mission Church Audio and download the audio file.

Also today was the start of our regular daily reading from the "Better Together - 40 Days of Community workbook". Day one is entitled, "Because God loves us".
